Working Politically in Practice: Lessons from Nigeria

This event, organised by ODI and co-convened by the TWP CoP is the second event in a series of three webinars sharing lessons emerging from research led by LEAP on the PERL programme in Nigeria. It explores how donor-supported efforts to promote governance reform can work in ways that are politically smart and anchored in learning and adaptation.

Looking at the PERL experience, the panel discuss what it takes to foster experimentation, learning, and adaptation in practice. Experts as well as programme designers, managers and implementers highlight lessons emerging from efforts to operationalise ‘thinking and working politically’ in Nigeria. They also tease out implications for the design and implementation of governance programming and share transferable practices.

This event took place on 12th October 2021.
